Upon completion of your transaction, your credit card will be authorized for $150. If your transaction is not completed, you will not be charged.
Q: Is my credit card number stored? Can it be stolen?
A: No, myLIVEoffer.comTM stores something called a hash of your credit card instead of your actual card number - a hash is an encoding that works only in one direction, allowing us to encrypt your card by not decrypt it. This prevents your card number from being stolen while ensuring that each user only creates one account. When you lock in your price on a vehicle, you will have to re-enter your credit card number because we cannot determine the number from the hash code.
Q: What is the $150 Lock-in fee?
A: Once you lock-in a price, your card will be authorized for $150 and the Dealer will be notified immediately of the transaction.
Q: What is the Dealer's Guarantee?
A: Once you lock in a price, you receive the Dealer's Guarantee, a promise that the exact vehicle you negotiated on will be sold to you at the dealership for the exact price you locked in. The Dealer's Guarantee also ensures that if for any reason the vehicle you locked in is not available when you arrive at the Dealer, you will receive the same price on a comparably equipped vehicle or $500 off any car on the Dealer's lot.
Q: After I make an Accepted Offer on a vehicle, can others still make offers on it?
A: Yes. Every vehicle is available for eNegotiation until someone "locks-in". Once you "lock-in" with a credit card, the car is considered reserved and is removed from active inventory.
Q: How long before I can pick up the vehicle that I locked in?
A: You should contact the Dealer immediately to schedule a time to complete your paperwork and accept delivery of your new vehicle. Your lock-in price is valid for seventy two (72) hours. After seventy two (72) hours, the Dealer may sell your vehicle to another buyer, or you may have to re-negotiate the price.
Q: What happens if the car is not available when I arrive at the Dealer?
A: myLIVEoffer.comTM makes every effort to ensure that advertised VINs are available for purchase. Our database is refreshed frequently and Dealers are immediately notified when a vehicle has been locked-in. In the unlikely event that your vehicle is unavailable when you arrive at the showroom, our Dealer's Guarantee ensures that you will receive the same price on a comparably equipped vehicle or, if the Dealer is are unable to locate such a vehicle, your will receive $500 off any car on the lot. If neither option fulfills your needs, you may contact myLIVEoffer.comTM to cancel the transaction.
Q: What happens if I never go to the Dealer to complete the transaction?
A: Your myLIVEoffer.comTM transaction provides you with the Dealer�s Guarantee. Every myLIVEoffer.comTM Dealer is bound by that Guarantee and is monitored to ensure they are operating in good faith and delivering on their Guarantee. If you fail to contact, return contact with the dealer or not complete the transaction within seventy two (72) hours, you may be restricted from using the myLIVEoffer.comTM system again.
Q: Can I make offers on cars for other people or households?
A: Yes, however if you use your credit card to lock in the price, you must personally arrive at the Dealer in order to complete your purchase of the vehicle. For example, if you use myLIVEoffer.comTM to lock in a vehicle price for your spouse, both you and your spouse need to visit the Dealer together in order to complete the sale. This requirement helps to prevent credit card fraud and identity theft.
Q: Can I arrange financing through myLIVEoffer.comTM?
A: Yes, click on the Financing link in the top menu and work with an myLIVEoffer.comTM lending partner to arrange financing before you arrive at the Dealer. Or, when you lock-in your price you can request that myLIVEoffer.comTM let the Dealer know, as part of our confirmation email to the Dealer, that you'd like the Dealer to help arrange financing.
Q: Can I make an offer on any car in the myLIVEoffer.comTM inventory?
A: myLIVEoffer.comTM lets you view and search the Dealer�s entire available inventory, but only some of those vehicles have been designed as Priced by the Dealer. If you do not find the vehicle you want in Priced inventory, you can widen your search by clicking on the Un-Priced Inventory tab. If you find your vehicle there, simply click on the request Pricing button and myLIVEoffer.comTM will immediately contact the Dealer to request that they Price the vehicle. If the Dealer accepts the request, you will receive an email inviting you to make an offer on that vehicle.
Q: Can I make offers on cars that are located at Dealers across the country?
A: Yes. myLIVEoffer.comTM allows you to search and negotiate on vehicles at Dealers located throughout the country. Use the Dealer Locator button on the home page to choose a Dealer by geographic area or by name. You can also look for the myLIVEoffer ButtonTM on your local Dealer's website. If you would like to see the myLIVEoffer.comTM eNegotiation system available at a Dealer that is not currently with us, let us know at sales@myLIVEoffer.com.
Q: What is a Private Offer?
A: A private offer is an invitation from the Dealer to interested buyers to make offers on specific vehicles. myLIVEofferTM allows you to be anonymously included in private offer sessions if you have either made an offer on the vehicle before, or if you have made an offer on a similar vehicle in your area.
Q: Can I negotiate with the Dealer after I have agreed to a vehicle purchase price?
A: When you arrive at the Dealer, you must show your printed Dealer's GuaranteeTM and provide the Dealer with proper identification so they can confirm your transaction. We encourage all buyers and sellers to transact professionally and in good faith. In the event there was a genuine and verifiable discrepancy between what was presented online (such as an incorrect price or vehicle details) and what is actually in the vehicle listed in your Dealer�s GuaranteeTM then you should work to resolve the discrepancy with the Dealer. Should you be unable to resolve the problem then you should contact myLIVEoffer.comTM to cancel the transaction.
